Jasminum grandiflorum, a species of jasmine, has common names like Spanish jasmine, royal jasmine and catalan jasmine. Jasminum are found throughout Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Jasminum grandiflorum is a deciduous shrub, best suited for outdoor use.
The spanish jasminum features white flowers with thin petals. Some cultures, use the leaves for herbal medicine and the flowers for the scent of Jasmine in perfumes. The Jasminum grandiflorum grows slowly. It’s a shrub with long, twining stems and vine-like branches. The thin branches sprout with small circular leaves, but the branches remain mostly bare.
