A compact, well-behave shrub that adds great color and form to the landscape. New foliage emerges gold in the spring and gently fades to a vibrant lime green with maturity. This is a slow-growing shrub, making it a good choice for novice gardeners or those who want big color with little maintenance
In general, Thuja orientalis is a dense, compact large shrub or small tree. In youth it tends to be columnar, in age assumes a looser and more open proportion. Foliage is yellow-green to bright green, darkens when older. Flowers are inconspicuous, cones are small, round, bluish colored when young. Many small bird species will find the dense foliage a safe and appealing place to build nests.
- Partial shade to full sun.Water the plant when the soil become slightly dry out. It doesn’t like waterlogged soil and wet roots.It prefers organically rich, moderately moist, and well-drained soil.15 – 30 °CApply all-purpose fertilizer.
