- Plant Care
- Important Note
Alocasia Reginula is the botanical name of Black Velvet Alocasia. Black Velvet Alocasia comprises lush, and black leaves with contrasting silver veins. The velvet-like leaves of Alocasia Reginula are a little rough to touch. The upper leaf surface is a dramatic green-black color, and the lower leaf surface is a rich purple.
The rough and apparently velvet leaf surface soaks all the light frequencies falling on them. It emits black shade in return. The white veins reflect all the light resulting in a prominent contrast on the leaf surface. You will be astonished to know that common green chlorophyll is found inside these charcoal-like leaves just like the green plants.
