Hedera helix, commonly known as English ivy, is a vigorous, fast-growing, woody evergreen perennial that is primarily grown as a climbing vine or trailing ground cover. Although commonly grown as a hanging plant indoors, its aerial roots can easily be trained to climb a moss stick or trellis. Hedera helix is an evergreen climbing plant. With lobed leaves and lush, trailing vines, it is an elegant accent plant.
Exhibits trailing and mounding growth habit, drought tolerance and attractive white-edged, silvery green leaves. One of the best choices for a fast-growing arrangement or ground cover. Easy to grow vining plant that grows fairly quickly. It thrives in cold and low light situations. According to NASA it is one of the best air purifier plant that removes harmful chemicals like benzene, formaldehyde, xylene from the surrounding air.
