Ixora shrubs are known for their large corymbs of bright florets. With small flowers clustered into a rounded form, with more dense stems and a smaller, more compact shape. The large flower clusters come in red, orange, yellow and pink, and it’s also known as jungle flame and flame of the woods.
The plant has glossy leathery leaves that are oval shaped and stiff. Blooms are clusters of four petaled florets which can last four to six weeks on the stem. Flowers are most prolific in summer but can also appear at other times of the year. Its evergreen habit and year-round flowering season make an ixora plant well worth growing, either in your garden or in a container on your patio.

Ixora prefer full sun but will tolerate light shade.Water the plant regularly, with a deep soaking about once a week and less during the winter, and keep the soil moist but not dripping wet.Like many plants, ixora prefers slightly acidic soil. It do better with organically rich, consistently moist and well-drained soil.20 – 35 °CFeed with a weak liquid fertilizer and well-balanced fertilizer throughout the growing season.
