The jade plant is a popular succulent houseplant with fleshy, oval-shaped leaves and thick, woody stems that resemble tiny tree trunks. They have reddish-brown stems with glossy green leaves. They start out as a small bush and eventually. The stem gets thicker over time as the plant matures.
