The Christmas Palm Tree, scientific name Veitchia merrillii, is one of the most popular palms. Christmas Palm tree is magnificent, adding a luxurious, vacay vibe to any brightly lit room. It grows from a single trunk, which supports a crown of arched, pinnate leaves. At the base of the crown, clusters of creamy white flowers emerge. It likes full sun but can also grow in broken shade. The Christmas Palm is moderately salt tolerant prefers moist well drained soil. To avoid root rot don’t let it sit in water. It can tolerate drought for a short time when mature enough.

Water regularly, but don't allow soil to get soggy which can cause root rot. Always use a pot with drainage holes.
It prefers organically rich, moderately moist, and well-drained soil.
