Succulent leaf plant of the genus Agave also known as Lion’s tail or Foxtail agave, Agave attenuata perennial evergreen plant, the plant dies after the bloom and the young plant grow instead and also used as ornamental and medical plant. Leaves color green and can be variegata green with yellow, the leaves are fleshy, and leaves grow in rosettes structure, the leaf in a spear shape.
Agave attenuata is native to the desert areas of central Mexico, in particular on slopes and rocky outcroppings that have a dry climate with little water availability. The agave attenuata is a long-lived species, living up to 50 years in nature and able to be grown inside as well – it’s one of the hardiest plants of its kind. Agave attenuata plants have been noted for their ability to tolerate very high heat, which makes them an ideal candidate for desert landscapes.
Choose a bright, sunny window with as much sun possible.Small amount of water, let it dry between watering and better not to over water.Slightly moist soil but do not over water and don’t let it dry.15 - 35 °CWhen in growth, feed with any balanced complete fertilizer with micronutrients once or twice a month.
