Cassia surattensis is a medium-size yellow flowering tree. Masses of bright gold flower clusters appear on almost every branch. Cassia likes full sun and well-drained soil and to bloom profusely requires a dry season.
The flowering days of Glaucous Cassia are prolonged and beautiful. Many trees have their best show in the summer. The trunk and branches are a silver-gray color. The bright, sometimes pale-yellow flowers appear continuously at the end of the branches. Flowers are very similar to those of Indian Laburnum, but never look so spectacular because they do not hang in bunches. Flowers attract butterflies. It is a rapidly easy-growing tree, which tolerates poor soil.

Provide cassia with a full six hours or more of daily sunlight.The average amount of water, although its drought tolerant plant prefers more water.The soil should be well-drained and fertile, rich in organic content for growing plants.15 – 30 °CDuring the main growing season feed the plant with organic fertilizer.
