A member of the ginger family, Costus Arabicus is a gorgeous and rarely offered plant with nice medium-sized green and white variegated leaves.
A beautiful hardy and cold tolerant ginger have a tendency to revert to solid green leaves - prune away any stems with green leaves to maintain variegations. Good pot plant.
Will be happy in a light spot with indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight is a real 'no go' for this plant.Requires consistently moist soil; do not let dry out between watering. Between watering, the top layer of potting soil should not dry out, it is important that the soil always remains moist.Chalky, Loamy, and Sandy soil can be used. Clammy is yet very much depleted.15 - 25°CApply organic fertilizer once a month during the growing season.
