  • Ficus Amstel King (Ficus binnendijkii "Amstel King") is a tiny evergreen plant planted in pots and designed to be used indoors or outdoors or as a medium-sized plant in the soil of the garden that has a climate that is conducive to its development. It has leaves that are different in shape from the other Figs as it's long (with a length of between 3 and 24 centimetres); however, with a soft texture, dense and shiny, as well as an attractive, intense green colour. Ficus Amstel King Ficus Amstel King is an easy-to-grow plant and does not have specific maintenance requirements with a slightly weeping look makes it a beautiful plant wherever its position is determined.

In the numerous native plants, Ficus Amstel King (which you can see in this photo) is the least pretentious and most superficial, even though it was brought into our world from the moist Indonesian climate. It was named after the Dutch scientist, also known as the gardening enthusiast Simon Binnendijk. This evergreen tree could be up to 20 meters long in its natural setting. It can also be produced by oval or round Syconia. At home, you can quickly increase the size of the Amstel King up to 170cm. A tall, branching plant, the Narrow-leaved rubber Tree' Amstel King' grows 1.5 to 2 meters tall and is 50 centimetres to 1 m in width.

The young bark of the plant is brown and dark but develops a grey tint and white stripes as it develops. Ficus Amstel King leaves are lengthy, elongated, leathery, and shiny, with a slight curve in the middle vein, which is the most prominent on the reverse and the top of the leaf plate. Dark green glossy leaves characterize this evergreen plant. They're lanceolate. Already, the red shoots are gorgeous to gaze at. The leaf can be up to 30 cm long and as broad as 6 centimetres. The petiole can grow to 4 centimetres. If you purchase this pet in a unique animal store, remember the best way to handle his purchase.

This tall plant has lush, long-lasting leaves with deep green hues, making an impressive statement. Contrary to other Ficus species, this one, Amstel King, doesn't care about moving around and will not let its leaves fall off. It's a great choice if you are a fan of decorating! You must treat this plant with respect since it's also known as "Ficus Alii" - "Alii" means 'king' in Hawaii, where it was first commercially grown.

With its stunning twisting trunk and the abundance of bright green leaves that sprout from the top, this plant is the most imposing of house plants. The Amstel King doesn't like the cold of cold weather and enjoys occasional mists. You can give him little fertilizer at least once every month in the spring and summer. In general, this is an easy-to-take-care-of plant and is willing to take a little lack of attention.

Ficus whitefly is now an extremely harmful nuisance throughout South Florida. They are incredibly prolific and can cause extensive defoliation of most Ficus species. Adult whiteflies lay eggs before becoming immobile nymphs that resemble scale insects. The spirit develops into an egg, from which the adult with wings emerges. The pupa's shell isn't easy to remove from the leaves, even though the insect is dead. Farm Life is cautious about reducing the impact of whiteflies on the Ficus trees. However, the trees are planted in the open for at least five years before they are ready to be sold. A minimum of two years are spent in open fields, which makes perfect management more challenging. After a Ficus tree is cut down and returned to the shade house, the control of whiteflies is much more specific. Because of the durability of the casing of the pupa, there is a possibility to locate old containers glued to the older or inner leaves of the tree. The foliage that is newer on the outside should be free of whiteflies. Whiteflies are attracted to the latest plants first. This is an effective method to identify whether a whitefly problem is in progress or if whitefly pupae have become dead and old. Whitefly pupae and live nymphs will be sealed and display an ethereal yellow hue. The pupae's casings are very similar to some species of scale insects. But, scale is an infrequent problem for the Ficus maclellandii, even within the infant stage. Mainspring GNL is a brand-new systemic pesticide that is highly effective against whiteflies and other insects. When applied as a drench, the active ingredient is transferred to the plant and can control insects like whiteflies. If whitefly adult populations are present in the tree, the action of Mainspring might not be swift enough to prevent serious harm to the tree. In this situation, it is recommended that a Mainspring drench and a spray of horticultural oil each week for three weeks will help keep populations in check while the active ingredient in Mainspring is dispersed throughout the tree. A substitute for oil that works on every stage of mites as well as whiteflies is Savate.
