Jatropha integerrima is a perennial evergreen shrub from the genus Jatropha and is often trained to grow as a small tree. The simple green leaves grow in an alternating arrangement along the stems. They are shrubs with succulent stems that reach 1 meter in height indoors and 2-3 meters outdoors.
They have shiny dark green trilobed leaves with very marked veins and produces year-around, upright clusters of bright red, star-shaped flowers that attract bees and butterflies. It also produces small, red seed capsules or berries that contain toxins. Jatropha can be grown in large containers on decks or patios.
- Integerrima performs best in full sun frost-free locations but will grow in partial shade.Water moderately while waiting for the substrate to dry. They need high humidity; Place a plate with wet pebbles under the pot.Jatropha integerrima will need a good quality well-draining somewhat acidic potting soil.20 – 38 °CProvide a weak dilution of general-purpose houseplant fertilizer during the growing season.
