Maranta leuconeura 'Fascinator' is commonly known as a prayer plant because the leaves tend to fold together at night, as if they are hands closed in prayer. This is for protection in the wild. The leaves are oval-shaped with a striking light-and-dark-green feathered pattern with red veins, and are often red underneath.
This Prayer Plant will use its air-purifying qualities to remove harmful pollutants and unwanted toxins, adding great benefits to the surrounding area. Marantas will open their leaves with the morning sun, and close them again at night - you can sometimes even hear them rustling! This plant should be should be placed in bright, indirect light.Water frequently to keep the soil moist but not soggy.The soil should be well drained and fertile, rich in organic content for growing plant.15 - 25°CFertilizers help plants have steady growth. Apply organic fertilizer.
