Of all the ornamental grasses, of which there are many, fountain grass (Pennisetum setaceum) is probably one of the most popular. The green foliage and soft, fuzzy-like make a bold statement in the garden—on their own or grouped with other plantings. Fountain grass is a splendid choice for adding soft texture to the landscape.
The dense clump of gracefully arching foliage produces an abundance of showy flower plumes in late summer. A fast-grower and carefree in almost any situation with well-drained soil. The flower heads make interesting additions to cut flower arrangements and can be dried for use in crafts. Grow fountain grasses as a hedge, back of a border plant or specimen.

Look for an area in your garden that receives full sun, as the plant prefers warmer conditions.The grass is drought tolerant, however water once or twice a week until plants are established. Give time for the soil to dry to the touch between each watering.They will grow best in sandy, rich and very well-drained soil.15 – 30 °CUse a general-purpose slow-release fertilizer during growing season.
